Details
Sixteen Fujitsu MB81C4256A-60PSZ DRAM chips, 2MB in total, for the Commodore A2630 and A2620 accelerator cards. The cards use this chip type (256K x 4 page-mode ZIP, 80 to 100 ns) in sets of 16, for 2MB or 4MB of on-board 32-bit RAM. The 60 ns rating is faster than the cards need.
Specifications
- 256K x 4 bits, 60 ns, fast page mode
- 20-pin ZIP package
Soldering required
- Both cards shipped with 2MB or 4MB fitted. The RAM is soldered, with no sockets
- A 2MB card has bare solder pads where the other 16 chips go
- This is not a plug-in upgrade. You must be experienced at soldering to fit these chips: upgrade a 2MB card to 4MB by soldering the second set into the empty pads, or replace failed chips
- Not comfortable soldering it yourself? Contact sales@copperlist.com for availability and pricing of our upgrade service
- Jumper J301 tells the card how much RAM is fitted, and the two cards use it in opposite ways. On the A2630 it is on for 2MB and off for 4MB. On the A2620 it is off for 2MB and on for 4MB. Change it when you add the second set
- The on-board RAM can be switched off or autoconfigured by a jumper, so check your card’s jumper setting and chip list before you order
What you get
16 chips for a total of 2MB.
