Brand new replacement keyboard membrane for the Amiga 500, for keyboards with the long Enter key (Mitsumi 56 A619A). This is the membrane in US Amiga 500 keyboards, which all have the long Enter key, and in Amiga 4000 keyboards that have it. Replace it when a single key, a whole row or a group of keys has stopped working, which usually means broken traces in the old membrane.

What is the long Enter key?

Amiga keyboards came with two Enter key shapes. The long Enter is a wide key shaped like a backwards L that spans two rows. The short Enter is a tall key at the far right, with an extra full-size key beside it on the home row and another beside the left Shift. US Amiga 500 keyboards have the long Enter. US Amiga 4000s came with either type, so look at your keyboard before you order.

• Amiga 4000 keyboards with the long Enter key
• Mitsumi keyboards with a single membrane connector
• Does not fit Samsung keyboards, which have two connectors, or keyboards made by Cherry or NME
• Does not fit keyboards with the short Enter key. They use a different membrane (A619B)

Before you order

• Look at your Enter key and compare it with the long Enter described above
• Look at your old membrane
• Check that the keyboard plug seats fully in the motherboard connector and that the key plungers are clean
